    LeMoyne Trails is the pattern selected for this class.This pattern uses the LeMoyne Star and Square Squared tools. The Tucker Trimmer is also highly

  • suggested. Students will learn how to make LeMoyne Star blocks and snail trail blocks as well as how to put the final quilt together.

    Price is $30 plus pattern and rulers (if you need them).

Program: Bag Making Tips with Krystal Woehlke

Our very own member, Krystal, will teach us the ins and outs of making bags.

  • Saturday, February 1, 2025 - Workshop: Mondo Bag with Krystal Woehlke

    Krystal will teach us the ins and outs of creating a Mondo Bag. Participants will have a choice of medium or large bag and there will be home work so most will have a finished bag when they leave the class.

    Cost: $30 plus pattern. More details to follow

Program:

We will celebrate 10 years of MRQ with our guild’s focuses: education, community involvement and friendship. No Program. No Business. No Show ‘n Tell.

The 10th Anniversary committee will be selling tickets for “the party” in the following months. Please see our table to purchase yours for $10.00. Thank you to many of you who have already donated small, handmade, quilt/sewing related gifts to be used as prizes at the party. Please see Suzanne McClure to make your donation. Please consider donating things such as a purse, bag, zipper pouch, pin cushion, table runner, scrap holder, etc. those who bring food donations will get a raffle ticket for each item they bring and if you donate an item, YOU will get a raffle ticket for the drawing also.

Please bring your donations to the meetings and see Suzanne McClure. Also included in the “prize bin” will be free dues for the year and gift certificates.

There will be no birthday bundles in January due to the Celebration. January birthdays, please bring your birthday bundles to the November or February meeting.

  • Sunday, November 3, 2024 - Workshop: Paper Piecing Techniques with Elsa Neubauer (11:15am—6pm)

    Pattern will be Lotus Flower which will measure 40” x 40” when completed. Patterns will be available from the instructor for $28, this was part of the instructor’s contract.  Homework instructions will be available at the October meeting.

    Workshop fee: $30. Participants should plan on bringing their lunch. To be held at the Haven Retreat Center, 103 Whistler’s Walk, Bluffton

Program: 35 Years of Friendship and Fun

Sylvia Cameron shares her quilting journey from templates and scissors to rotary cutters, contempo-rary designs and computerized sewing machines through the years learning how to piece, trying pa-per piecing, a the “A Word” via machine, embroidery and quilting using an embroidery machine, and long arm and stationary quilting are just some of the subjects that she has tried. The friendships along the journey are a wonderful plus.

Workshop: Machine Applique Pumpkin Pot Holder

Saturday, October 5, 2024 - 12:30—4:30 pm

Our own Sylvia Cameron will teach a machine applique class and share tips and directions for effortless machine applique.

Cost: $30 for the work and a small fee for pattern and supplies needed to complete a pot holder.
